
Research and Academic Partnerships Chair
Dr Michail Theodosiadis is an academic researcher in politics and international relations, with more than eight years of teaching and research experience specialising in leadership, democracy, ethics, and interstate relations. Within the AIGIS Initiative and Dialogue (AID), he contributes to the development of strategic academic partnerships, the coordination of international research networks, and the promotion of intercultural and academic connectivity.
He is the author of the monograph Ancient Greek Democracy and American Republicanism: Prometheus in Political Theory (Edinburgh University Press, 2025/2026), selected for inclusion in Oxford Academic, De Gruyter Brill, and JSTOR. He has also published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, including multiple Scopus Q1- and Q2-ranked articles in Religions, Conatus, and Cogito. His international teaching and academic experience includes a Visiting Professorship at the Scuola di Studi Superiori Giacomo Leopardi (University of Macerata, Italy), supported by the EU’s NextGenerationEU programme, faculty positions at the University of Kurdistan Hewlêr (Iraq), and sessional lecturer at Charles University (Prague - Czechia).
His academic engagement extends to scientific and scholarly service, including participation in scientific selection committees, dissertation panels, and peer review. Through these activities, he contributes to maintaining high standards of scholarship in political theory, international relations, and related fields.
Dr Theodosiadis has also been actively involved in educational diplomacy and international academic cooperation. In his role as Ex Officio Coordinator for Middle East Engagement, and through close cooperation with Greek diplomatic representatives, he has helped develop strategic partnerships between academic institutions in Greece, Italy, and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. These efforts have supported connections between Greek universities and international academic counterparts and contributed to the development and implementation of international academic programmes. Alongside his academic work, he is an active public commentator, contributing regularly to national newspapers, policy journals, and digital media on issues related to educational diplomacy, the internationalisation of higher education, and contemporary geopolitical relations.
