The “Cities, Culture & Communities” pillar is the field through which AIGIS Initiative and Dialogue (AID) strengthens connectivity between cities, local communities, cultural organizations, academic partners and diaspora networks.

The aim of this pillar is to build bridges of cooperation, strengthen intercultural understanding and support initiatives that connect people, institutions and communities through culture, language, public participation and institutional networking.

What the pillar is about

This pillar focuses on connecting cities, communities and cultural ecosystems through structured partnerships, joint initiatives and intercultural dialogue actions.

It includes cultural diplomacy initiatives, exchanges of knowledge and experience, public participation actions, cooperation with municipalities and cultural organizations, as well as programs that strengthen cultural heritage, language and diaspora engagement.

AIGIS’ approach emphasizes cooperation, inclusion and the creation of relationships of trust between different communities, local institutions and international networks.

Through this field of action, AIGIS supports environmental awareness initiatives, local sustainability actions, educational programs, cultural interventions and partnerships that strengthen people’s relationship with public space, nature and their community.

The pillar is addressed to municipalities, local communities, cultural organizations, educational institutions, universities, civil society organizations and diaspora networks wishing to develop actions of cooperation, cultural exchange and intercultural dialogue.
