Humanitarian Cooperation is one of the core strategic pillars of AIGIS Initiative and Dialogue (AID). The aim of this pillar is to strengthen social solidarity, support vulnerable groups and create a responsible framework of cooperation between donors, communities, public authorities and vetted implementation partners.
AIGIS acts as a hub for coordination, documentation and cooperation. It does not focus on fragmented assistance, but seeks to connect real needs with reliable mechanisms of support, transparency and accountability.
WHAT THE PILLAR IS ABOUT
The Humanitarian Cooperation pillar focuses on the targeted support of people and communities facing social, economic or humanitarian challenges.
It includes needs assessment, mediation between donors and implementation partners, the development of partnerships and the support of social solidarity actions in Greece and abroad.
AIGIS’ approach is based on cooperation with appropriate and vetted partners, so that available resources are directed in a responsible, transparent and evidence-based way.

The pillar is addressed to vulnerable groups and communities facing needs related to social support, exclusion or humanitarian pressure.
At the same time, it is addressed to donors, foundations, public bodies, municipalities, civil society organizations, local communities and implementation partners who wish to participate in responsible and evidence-based social solidarity actions.
